The Course Census Date (last day to drop with a refund for the term) is published in the academic calendar for the College by term. Keep in mind that courses that have start and end dates differing from the full term sessions may have an earlier or later last day to drop with a refund. You can view the academic calendar on the College's website.

To view the last day to drop with a refund for your particular courses:

Step 1. Login to the Student Information System (SIS)

Step 2. Click on Self Service

Step 3. Click on Student Center

Step 4. Click on My Class Schedule

Step 5. Under the course for which you are trying to find the last day to drop with a refund, there is a small icon that looks like a calendar page under the heading "Deadlines". The date listed as "Drop-Retain Record" is the last date you may drop a course and receive a refund (known as the last day to drop with a refund). Classes dropped by this date will not appear on your transcript but will remain on your academic record with a status of dropped.

Please note:

  • Courses dropped after the last day to drop with a refund will result in a grade of "W" on your official transcript.
  • You will also be responsible for tuition payment (cost) of classes dropped after the last day stated to drop with a refund.
  • Additionally, you will still be responsible for any book charges (bookstore charges) incurred for the term.
  • Any course you elect to drop on or before the last day to drop with a refund may impact your enrollment level (full-time, three-quarter time, half-time, or less than half-time). This may result in reduced financial aid awards causing a balance due to the college (from you). Courses will also be dropped by the Business Office for non-payment if a balance exists.
  • After class enrollment has been finalized, you should use the online aid pro-ration tool available in the Student Center to determine if a balance is owed. To use the aid pro-ration tool, simply login to the Student Information Center (PeopleSoft) and navigate to Self-Service > Student Center. Under Finances, click the Account Inquiry link.
